SC 6.21 Release Notes


Sc is a spread sheet program that works on normal terminals using the curses screen handling package. Sc is a much modified version of the public domain program posted several years ago by Mark Weiser as vc, and originally by James Gosling.

Installation Information

SC Subsystems

SC includes these subsystems:
fw_sc.sw.sc (default) Execution environment for sc.
fw_sc.man.sc (default) sc 6.21's online manual pages (preformatted).
fw_sc.man.relnotes (default) sc 6.21's online release notes.
fw_sc.src The complete sc 6.21 software distribution from which this product was built.

SC Subsystem Disk Space Requirements

This section lists the SC subsystems and their sizes.

If you are installing this product for the first time, the subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are installed if you use the ``go'' menu item. To install a different set of subsystems, use the ``install,'' ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in inst to customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then select the ``go'' menu item.

Note: The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for information on finding exact sizes.

Installation Method

All of the subsystems for SC can be installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for complete installation instructions.

Prerequisites

Your workstation must be running IRIX 5.3 or later in order to use this product.
